SHERRI MCMULLEN

VOLUME I HONOREE

Sherri McMullen stands as a true trailblazer in the realm of fashion, defined by her innovative vision and unwavering commitment to empowerment. In 2007, leveraging her extensive executive buying experience, she founded McMullen, an independent luxury destination nestled within the culturally vibrant city of Oakland. With a profound dedication to advocating for BIPOC designers, Sherri has harnessed her global network of fashion supporters to uplift emerging talents, many of whom have risen to become prominent voices in the industry, such as Diotima, Khiry, Christopher John Rogers, Aisling Camps, and numerous others.

With a legacy of remarkable success spanning over 16 years, Sherri McMullen remains fervently dedicated to shaping the fashion landscape with her latest endeavor, Beyond M, an incubator program, designed to nurture emerging brands and provide access and avenues for their long-term success. As she forges ahead, Sherri envisions her influence serving as a beacon for Black and Female entrepreneurs, imparting essential knowledge on navigating the complex terrain of starting a business and securing investment, a mission all the more crucial in a landscape where funding for Black Female founders is limited to less than 1%.
